There has not been a great deal of it lately.

Fish

Having forks around in abundance is good for when you bring salmon for lunch because the salmon gets really messy and smelly if you eat it with your hands.

Actually, you get really messy and smelly if you eat salmon with your hands.

But not if you have forks.

Harry Potter

and the Fork of Doom (tm).

Do you think the books would have been different if they used forks instead of wands?

Why?

Don't Waste The Forks!!

Only use as many as you need, but not more.

Update: Yes, that means you, Victor.

No news

is good news.

When it comes to fork levels.

If these lions had been using forks

to eat their baby buffalo, maybe they could have fended off the parents with the prongs:

Watch the whole thing. Trust me.

Memorial day thoughts

It occurred to me that were the fork box not an office fork box the fork levels might be imperiled this weekend, as memorial day celebrations generally require the use of plastic forks in large quantities.

As it is, however, the forks are safely tucked away in an academic office where they will not be available to those who would deplete the precious fork resource.

Whew! Lucky.

The forks are ok

and fork levels remain high.

I hope the forks are ok

over the weekend...

Breach of fork security

Another fork has been taken, I won't say by whom, as the box was left open in a display of callous disregard for the security of the forks.

Fork levels are still high.

Fork levels are still high

No need to ration yet.

I was right!

Another fork has been taken. That's 2 (two) for the day.

They're going like hotcakes!

-1

- 1 fork for my lunch today.
Are we at 598? I don't know if Rosemary has used one already, otherwise we're at 597. Maybe we should hire a workstudy to count them for us.

Victor has taken a fork

1 (one) fork has been used so far today.

Developing...

Another good fork day coming up

I have a feeling that today will bring the setting of some sort of local fork usage record.

This shouldn't be hard as the previous high was 1 fork.

Come on guys, we can do it!

Breaking News!

The fork box has been opened and one fork has been used.

First Impressions:

1. Forks were arranged nicely in box. Not too much shuffling occurred.

2. Fork quality is medium to medium/high - a little too much flexibility of the prongs, but a good solid base.

3. The forks are all white, four-pronged, with a v-shaped pattern along the spine. They are not clear, or as is sometimes the case, black.

I have a good feeling

that today will be the day that the forks get opened...

Sporkie Song

If anyone wants to sing the Spork song, you can listen to the original and substitute Bruce's words throughout here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gm61wCqtMNc

Attention! Attention!

The box has still not been opened.
